Questions about hearing clinics in Edmonton

What is a good hearing clinic in Edmonton?

A good hearing clinic tests your hearing in a sound booth, uses registered professionals, explains your results in plain words, fits more than one brand and keeps adjusting your hearing aids after the fitting. Medicine Place Hearing Care does all of that at two Edmonton clinics, 97 North at 13514 97 St NW and East at 4243 118 Ave NW, plus home visits.

Who will I see at Medicine Place Hearing Care in Edmonton?

A registered professional. Mohamed AlKadry, RHAP (Registered Hearing Aid Practitioner and Co-Owner) and Renaldo Macalalad, R.Aud (Registered Audiologist) work at our Edmonton clinics.

Do I need a referral to book a hearing test in Edmonton?

No. You can book directly online or by calling either clinic. No doctor’s referral is needed.

What are your Edmonton clinic hours?

97 North: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Sunday Closed. East: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday Closed.

Do you help with AADL funding for hearing aids?

Yes. We are a registered AADL vendor and do the paperwork for you. Most clients pay a 25% cost share, up to $500 per person or family each benefit year, and low income Albertans can have it waived.

How much does a hearing test cost?

Hearing tests are free for adults 65 and over at both Edmonton clinics. If you are under 65, call (780) 229-8492 (97 North) or (780) 801-8991 (East) for current pricing. Coverage depends on your plan, so we can help you check what yours includes.

Hearing aids cost about $1,000 to $4,000 per hearing aid, or roughly $2,000 to $8,000 for a pair, depending on the technology. Prices vary, and we give you an exact quote after your hearing test.
